Exploring and participating in art and antique auctions can be overwhelming for users due to cluttered interfaces, unclear bidding processes, and inconsistent presentation of item details. Most digital auction platforms lack visual hierarchy, proper categorization, and a smooth user flow, making it difficult for users to discover items, track bids, or feel confident participating in auctions.

Dar Al Ateeq provides an elegant, structured, and user-centered interface that simplifies the auction experience. The design highlights key elements such as featured items, ongoing and upcoming auctions, item details, and bidding history through a clean and organized layout. With rich visuals, a clear navigation system, and intuitive bidding interactions, Dar Al Ateeq enhances user confidence and transforms the process of buying and selling classical art into an enjoyable, premium digital experience.
Dar Al Ateeq was created as part of the Tuwaiq Academy program, aiming to challenge students to design a complete UI experience from scratch while solving a real-world problem. Inspired by the world of classical art and antique auctions, the project explored how to blend traditional aesthetics with modern usability.
The design process included analyzing existing auction platforms, identifying usability issues, sketching wireframes, and building a final visual system that reflects both elegance and clarity.
Through this project, key skills in UI layout, component consistency, color use, and user flow design were developed. Dar Al Ateeq stands as a representation of how thoughtful UI design can make cultural and artistic experiences more accessible in the digital space.
